Project Description Build and operate three wind power stations (combined capacity: 248MW) and two solar power stations (combined capacity: 20MW) in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada, and sell the electricity generated under various 20-year contracts.

Loan Outline

  • This project is a form of overseas integrated infrastructure system deployment project in which Mitsui participates as an equity holder, and engages in the long-term operation and maintenance of renewable energy power stations.
  • This is the first renewable energy power generation project in which JBIC is providing loans denominated in the local currency (Canadian dollar) for several projects, based on a limited recourse finance scheme.
  • This project will strengthen the international competitiveness of Japanese companies by supporting their overseas business activities in the renewable energy sector, which is expected to expand.
