The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: Hiroshi Okuda) signed a memorandum of understanding with The Japan Federation of Bar Associations (JFBA) for supporting overseas business deployment of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
-
This MOU is intended to support SME's overseas business deployment through the close collaboration between JBIC and JFBA, by JBIC adopting JFBA's system to introduce support attorneys (the system) to SMEs in need of legal assistance in their overseas business deployment.
-
The overseas deployment of SMEs is accelerating in order to capture the demand of growing middle-income class of emerging countries backed with steady economic growth. Amid that, JFBA establishes the system and plans to provide necessary legal support in SMEs overseas business deployment.
-
As a public financial institution, JBIC will continue to maintain and strengthen the framework for supporting overseas business deployment of Japanese companies including SMEs.
