The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: Hiroshi Okuda) signed today a loan agreement with Molten Asia Polymer Products Company Limited (MAPP), a subsidiary of Molten Corporation (Molten; Headquarters: Hiroshima Prefecture; Representative president: Kiyofumi Tamiaki) in Thailand. The loan is cofinanced with a private financial institution.
-
Molten is a mid-tier enterprise manufacturer, selling automobile parts. They established MAPP in 1994, supplying products to major automobile manufacturers in Thailand. This loan is intended to provide necessary funding for MAPP's manufacturing and sales business of automobile parts. Such financial support for overseas business deployment of the Japanese company will contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Japanese industries.

As a public financial institution, JBIC will continue to support overseas business development of Japanese companies, including mid-tier enterprises as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, in growing markets such as Thailand, by drawing on its various financial facilities and schemes for structuring projects and performing its risk-assuming function.
