JBIC Presents its Support for Renewable Energy and Water Sectors at the XII Bilateral CEPEJA Meeting

On September 12, 2016, Kazunori Ogawa, Director General of the New Energy and Power Finance Department II of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), gave a presentation on JBIC's support initiatives for the renewable energy and water sectors at the XII Bilateral CEPEJA Meeting*1 held at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. With the aim of promoting the close, friendly relations and mutual understanding between industries of the two countries, this conference solicited the participation of businesspersons and government officials from both Japan and Peru.

In light of Japan's recent policy agenda, Ogawa discussed JBIC's future cooperation for the development of Peru, while touching upon specific examples of JBIC's past support, including the overseas expansion of Japanese environmental technologies, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) IPP projects for renewable energy development, operations of Global action for Reconciling Economic growth and ENvironmental preservation (GREEN), as well as the global water sector.

JBIC will continue to actively provide information on the support for the environmental sector through lectures at such international conference.
