Establishment and Launch of the Global Investment Enhancement Facility

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: HAYASHI Nobumitsu) today launched its new Global Investment Enhancement Facility.

The Global Investment Enhancement Facility is intended to support Japanese companies in: (i) the contribution toward preserving the global environment, including decarbonization and (ii) the enhancement of supply chain resilience, the expansion of high-quality infrastructure, and the creation of new overseas markets. The outline of this new facility and the financing conditions for each window are as follows.

Outline of the New Facility

  • The Global Investment Enhancement Facility is established with the Sustainability Window and the Global Value Chain Resilience Window.
  • *Due to the establishment of the Global Investment Enhancement Facility, the Post-COVID-19 Growth Facility, which was established on January 29, 2021, ended on June 30, 2022.
