JBIC has been involved in co-financing projects to support the overseas business deployment of Japanese companies, including mid-tier enterprises (MTEs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and also actively promotes collaboration with regional banks by holding seminars and providing information on overseas investment environments and legal and tax accounting advisory services. In addition to these efforts, in recent years, JBIC has been required to fulfill the diverse needs of the business models of regional banks, such as by providing new investment opportunities through its schemes, including the liquidation of receivables.

In his opening remarks, Mr. SUZUKI, JBIC’s Executive Officer for Osaka, expressed gratitude to regional banks for their ongoing cooperation in the overseas expansion of MTEs and SMEs. He stated, “I would like to further expand and deepen the collaboration with regional banks through co-financing in PF projects, as well as liquidation of receivables in our PF projects. Additionally, I hope participants use this seminar as a platform for mutual information exchange.”

The seminar attendees provided the following feedback: “The lecture content, along with the materials and supplementary information, was very comprehensible." “The seminar structure was easy to follow, progressing from an overview of PF to individual case studies.” “The practical points to keep in mind were realistic and easy to imagine.”

JBIC continues to support the overseas business deployment of Japanese companies and promote new investment opportunities for private financial institutions by holding seminars and lectures.
