Business Performance of the GREEN Operations

To protect the global environment, JBIC commenced a new business operation called "Global action for Reconciling Economic growth and ENvironmental preservation" (GREEN) on April 1, 2010. Under the GREEN operations, JBIC supports projects that are expected to have a favorable impact on the protection of the global environment, including construction of photovoltaic power plants utilizing advanced environmental technologies and installation of energy-saving equipment. JBIC provides financing to those environmental projects, in the form of loans, equity participation and guarantees, while mobilizing private-sector funds.
