Establishment and Launch of the “Partnership on Wide Energy and Resources Resilience Asia: Finance for Agile and Secure Trade” Window under the Japan Strategic Investment Facility

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: HAYASHI Nobumitsu) established and launched today a new financing window under the Japan Strategic Investment Facility to support agile and secure trade, named the “Partnership on Wide Energy and Resources Resilience Asia: Finance for Agile and Secure Trade” Window (the “POWERR Asia FAST Window”).

The POWERR Asia FAST Window is an initiative under the Partnership on Wide Energy and Resources Resilience Asia (POWERR Asia), which was announced by the Government of Japan at the Asia Zero-Emission Community (AZEC) Plus Online Summit on Energy Resilience held on April 15, 2026, and is designed to support projects that contribute to strengthening the resilience of supply chains for energy and critical materials, taking into account the current situation in the Middle East.

In addition, in line with the launch of the POWERR Asia FAST Window under the Japan Strategic Investment Facility (established and launched on October 1, 2025)*1, for projects eligible under the Facility that are not covered by the POWERR Asia FAST Window, JBIC will continue to support them through the “Japan Strategic Investment Window,” which was established at the same time as the POWERR Asia Window.
