Loan for Manufacturing and Sales Business of Residential Metal Parts by Japanese Company in Vietnam
Supporting Overseas Business Deployment of Japanese SMEs

  • Region: Asia
  • Manufacturing and Services
  • Mid-tier Enterprises and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises(SMEs)
  • Overseas Investment Loans

August 29, 2014
  1. The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC; Governor: Hiroshi Watanabe) signed today a loan agreement totaling up to JPY105 million (JBIC portion) with KATZDEN ARCHITEC Co. Ltd. (KATZDEN ARCHITEC; Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Kiyoshige Sakata). This loan is cofinanced with The Gunma Bank, Ltd., with the overall cofinancing amount reaching JPY150 million.

  2. This loan will finance its part of the total lending needed for KATZDEN ARCHITEC VIETNAM CO., LTD. (KDAT VNM), a Vietnamese subsidiary established by KATZDEN ARCHITEC, to conduct the manufacturing and sales business of residential metal parts.*1

  3. KATZDEN ARCHITEC is a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) manufacturing and selling housing-related parts such as stairs products. The company plans to expand its business in emerging countries such as ASEAN with a base in Vietnam by establishing KDAT VNM in June 2014, as demand for residential parts is expected to grow, backed by economic growth in emerging countries. Thus, this loan will support the overseas business deployment of KATZDEN ARCHITEC and thereby contribute to maintaining and strengthening the international competitiveness of Japanese industries.

  4. As Japan's policy-based financial institution, JBIC will continue to support overseas business deployment of Japanese companies, including mid-tier enterprises and SMEs in growing markets such as Vietnam, by drawing on its various financial facilities and schemes for structuring projects, and performing its risk-assuming function.

Note
  1. *1 JBIC provided a loan for funding its part of the total capital of KDAT VNW in July 31, 2014. See Press Release on this date for details.
